Department Lead - Procurement
Hartmann Young is partnered with an innovative and empowering diagnostics manufacturer, seeking a Department Leader to drive strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and cost efficiency. This role is pivotal in ensuring uninterrupted supply, mitigating risks, and building a future-ready procurement function.
The role
* Lead procurement activities from sourcing to supplier management and contract negotiations;
* Deliver measurable cost savings while ensuring quality and compliance;
* Develop and mentor a high-performing procurement team;
* Partner with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business goals;
* Proactively manage risks and ensure business continuity.
The person
* Strong procurement leadership experience, ideally in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, or a similarly regulated environment;
* CIPS qualification (essential);
* Expertise in supplier strategy, negotiations, and risk management;
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision-making;
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills;
* A collaborative leader ready to innovate and adapt in a dynamic environment.
