Site Engineer - Central Belt Scotland
BDL is looking for a Site Engineer to support the technical delivery of reinforced concrete frame and groundworks projects across the Central Belt, Scotland. Application deadline: 5 days ago. The role is permanent, full‑time, onsite.
What You Will Be Doing
* Site & Setting Out – Ensure precision in construction using surveying instruments and technical drawings.
* Project & Design Management – Interpret construction plans, raise RFIs, and assist in resolving design challenges.
* Commercial Awareness – Understand contracts, costs, and materials to support efficient project delivery.
* Quality & Safety – Implement quality procedures, conduct inspections, and champion safe working practices.
* Team Leadership – Supervise junior engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to drive performance.
What You Will Bring
* A qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Structural Engineering (HNC level or above).
* A track record of delivering setting out and engineering processes on concrete frame projects.
* Ability to use CAD software for data transfer to/from single person working kit; EDM preferable.
* Highly competent in surveying and setting out techniques and able to teach others.
* Experience in managing and mentoring Graduate and Apprentice engineers.
