Launch Your IT Career – Grow Into Our In-House Expert (office based in Canterbury, Kent)
Fire Protection Online Ltd is looking for a motivated and hands-on IT Support Specialist to join our team and grow into a key internal IT role. * System Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Resolve day-to-day technical issues and escalate complex problems to external providers as needed.
* Internet & Network Support: Monitor internet connectivity and assist with basic network troubleshooting.
* Server Oversight: Work alongside outsourced providers to understand our server environment, with a view to eventually managing it in-house.
* Technical Support: Provide responsive and approachable first-line support for staff IT queries.
* Security Management: Help maintain IT security protocols, including antivirus, firewalls, and access controls.
* Data Backup: Oversee backup routines in coordination with our IT provider and ensure recovery procedures are tested.
* User Training: Support staff in using everyday applications, with a focus on Microsoft Office and other business tools.
* Documentation & Inventory: Keep clear records of hardware, software licenses, procedures, and IT policies.
* Security Updates: Assist in applying regular updates and patches to maintain system integrity.
* SQL (Desirable): Basic knowledge of SQL is a plus and will be valuable for future database support and reporting tasks.

* Familiarity with SQL or a desire to learn it over time
Why Join Us?
