Role Overview
As a Team Leader, you will provide leadership and oversight during shifts while also working hands-on to support children and young people emotionally, practically, and therapeutically.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee shifts, ensuring smooth operations and high standards
* Support daily routines, meals, education, and activities
* Build trusting relationships with young people
* Promote therapeutic, trauma-informed care
* Advocate for children in meetings and external settings
* Maintain accurate records and care plans in line with Ofsted requirements
* Support positive behaviour through boundaries and de-escalation strategies
* Contribute to a professional, supportive team culture
* Put into practice training provided to deliver the highest quality care
* Mentor and coach staff, providing real-time feedback and support
* Lead on incident management and safeguarding during shifts
Person Specification
Essential:
* Minimum 2 years' residential childcare experience
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
* Experience leading shifts or small teams
* Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and trauma-informed care
