We are seeking a motivated Workshop Technician to join our dynamic client in Hoddesdon, reporting to the Warehouse and PDI Manager. You will work as part of a small, hands-on team within the warehouse and workshop, assisting with the unboxing, dismantling, and preparation of machines for programming using hand tools. Full training will be provided, so a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude are essential. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression, with the potential to develop into a Field Engineer position in the future.
Experience of working within a Pre Delivery Inspection/Technical Workshop role a big advantage, although would consider trainees with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
This is a full-time, onsite role in Hoddesdon, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, offering a salary of £24,000 – £26,000 (dependent on experience), along with excellent benefits including 24 days’ annual leave plus an extra day for your birthday, and access to a private healthcare package and YuLife benefits.
Job Purpose:
* Responsible for pre delivery inspection of devices going through the workshop
* Managing rollouts and inputting of network information and software onto devices
* To be trained on refurbishing / repairing / part stripping of 2nd hand devices
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactive and reactive set up of devices
* Managing rollout within the Pre Delivery Inspection process
* Assist with stock management in the warehouse
* Fully comply with company policies and Health & Safety Guidelines
* Respond to Warehouse and PDI Manager
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
* Technician skills
* Proven technical knowledge preferred
* Competent on Excel and have previous experience of using service management systems an advantage
* Self-Motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and timescales
* Basic IT /networking experience beneficial
* Ability to communicate with all levels within the organisation, both face to face and over the phone
* Strong capability and experience of Service Delivery
