Accounts Payable Assistant

We’re currently looking for two Accounts Payable Assistants (one permanent and one 6‑month FTC) to join our fabulous Accounts Payable team at Platform Housing Group, the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We build homes, strong communities and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.
Responsibilities
As our Accounts Payable Assistant you’ll ensure accurate, complete and timely processing and maintenance of purchase‑related invoices and any related transactions in the financial systems and relevant ledgers. You will work with operations, corporate functions and suppliers to resolve invoice queries and collaboratively solve root causes to improve processes, enabling timely payment to suppliers and proper recording of financial transactions/costs.
Work Environment
This role offers the flexibility of being home‑based, with occasional travel to Group offices and other locations, including Birmingham Business Park, Solihull, Central Park and Worcester.
Qualifications
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume processing environment and delivering excellent customer service
* Comfortable handling a high volume of transactions
* GCSE grade C (Level 4) and above, or equivalent relevant experience
* Previous experience within the housing sector (desirable, not essential)
* Proven track record of delivering results in a fast‑paced and changing environment
* Strong problem‑solving ability and a desire to contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement
* Experience working within a finance or data‑driven environment
