The cleaning service is part of the Council’s Facilities Management service. It is a traded service, earning an income via contracts or service level agreements to carry out cleaning work across a variety of premises such as schools, offices, and public buildings. It provides both general and specialist cleaning services.
The cleaning service has approximately 1000 cleaners made up of permanent, temporary, relief, and casual staff who mainly work on a part-time basis covering cleaning stints in the morning, evening, or during the day.
This job is part of the specialist cleaning team which provides a cleaning service to Kirklees Homes & Neighbourhoods (KH&N) and Buildings Services. You will be responsible for clearing and cleaning empty homes such as houses, flats, and bungalows ensuring that high-quality cleaning is provided to achieve the Lettable standard and agreed standards in a manner which is safe for you, your colleagues, and other building users.
