Job Summary
The Junior Project Manager plays a key role in delivering business and technology projects across the organisation. Working across departments and functions, the Junior Project Manager is responsible for delivering small to medium-sized projects on time, in full, and within budget, contributing to Belron UK's strategic priorities. The role supports strong governance, financial control, and high quality delivery to minimise risk and maximise value. As part of the Project and Programmes team, the Junior Project Manager works alongside Project Managers and Business Analysts to ensure successful execution and ongoing enhancement of project delivery standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
Planning and Delivery
Manage small to medium-sized projects through the full lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation including RAID logs.
Monitor progress against milestones and proactively manage risks and issue
Financial Management
Deliver project budgeting activities including cost estimation and forecasting.
Monitor actuals against budget and support reporting requirements.
Ensure financial data is accurately maintained in line with project governance
Operational Delivery
Take full ownership for the operational delivery of assigned small to medium-sized projects.
Lead the coordination of internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful execution of tasks and milestones.
Ensure all elements of delivery are completed to time, cost, and quality expectations, managing dependencies and resolving issues along the way.
Governance
Ensure project activities comply with agreed governance frameworks and quality standards.
Maintain auditable records and version-controlled documentation.
Support change control processes and impact assessments.
Stakeholder and Business Engagement
Communicate clearly and regularly with project stakeholders.
Coordinate meetings, updates, and reporting to ensure alignment.
Build collaborative relationships across teams and functions.
Support stakeholder communication, meeting coordination, and status updates.
Build relationships with colleagues across functions to support delivery outcomes.
Represent the project team in workshops and working groups as required
Key Deliverables:
Project plans, RAID logs, stakeholder communications
Approved business cases, change requests and governance documents
Steering Group and leadership reports
Transition plans and BAU handover packs
Lessons learned reports and benefit realisation tracking
Projects delivered to agreed budget, scope and timeline
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
A passion for developing a career in project management
Some relevant experience or transferable skills
Strong communication and organisational skills
Willingness to learn and develop through on-the-job experience and formal training
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
Exposure to or awareness of project environments - desirable
Formal training or qualifications in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, MSP, AgilePM, Scrum) are desirable but not essential
