Assurance & Business Manager up to £59,490 pa

The Adult Social Care Assurance & Business Manager will lead the assurance team, manage resources and projects focused on Adult Social Care improvements, support business planning, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.

Key duties: Responsibilities include gathering and analysing data for service improvement, working with Business Insights for compliance, monitoring service performance, producing assurance reports, and leading CQC self-assessment and readiness.

Strategic and operational leadership: The role involves supporting the ASC continuous improvement programme, developing strategic plans and guidance, managing the directorate risk register and business continuity plan, and shaping communications internally and externally.

Practice Quality Assurance & Improvement Lead – Occupational Therapist

up to £50,269 pa

This position supports the Principal Occupational Therapist in promoting and overseeing occupational therapy practice and will lead the quality assurance and improvement activities. It involves promoting learning from practice, developing & delivering training, and overseeing audit schedules to inform improvements.

Key duties: To drive improvements in occupational therapy practice standards, disseminate best practices, and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Practice development: The role includes developing evidence-based social care methodologies, promoting innovation, implementing peer mentoring and supervision models, and supporting strengths-based practice.

Quality assurance and reporting: Responsibilities include managing case file audits to enhance practice quality, preparing for CQC assurance visits and peer reviews, and producing quality assurance reports for relevant meetings.

Practice Quality Assurance & Improvement Lead – Social Worker up to £50,269 pa

This position supports the Principal Social Worker in promoting and overseeing social work practice, leading quality assurance and improvement activities focused on social work within Adult Social Care.

Key duties: These include developing and delivering training, developing procedures, managing audits, analysing findings for improvement, and ensuring dissemination of learning across the service.

Practice development: Develop evidence-based social care methodologies, promote innovation, peer mentoring, peer supervision, and support strengths-based practice.

Quality assurance & reporting: Manage case file audits to ensure high-quality practice reflecting lived experiences, contribute to CQC visits, peer reviews, and produce quality assurance reports.

ASC Procedures, Guidance & Reform Lead up to £41,711 pa

The procedures, guidance and reform lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating adult social care procedures and guidance, ensuring alignment with legal frameworks and the directorate plan. The role includes research, stakeholder engagement, project support, and compliance monitoring.

Key duties: These include modernising services and social care practices, supporting strategy development, horizon scanning for policy changes, collaborating with partners, monitoring service performance, and managing risk mitigation. The role also supports inspection preparations and compliance with reporting requirements.

Assurance & Improvement Officer up to £34,434 pa x 2 posts

The Adult Social Care Assurance & Improvement Officers support the assurance and improvement team to implement and monitor quality assurance systems in Adult Social Care, ensuring compliance and readiness for inspections. The role involves resource and project management focused on service improvements.

Key duties: Produce advice and guidance on quality assurance, analyse reports, monitor service performance, manage information systems, support inspection preparations, and ensure compliance with data protection and risk management.

Quality assurance and reporting: The officers are responsible for generating quality assurance reports, presenting data for meetings, and maintaining up-to-date content on the adult social care website. The role supports the development of directorate strategies, contributes to business continuity planning, and aids learning from complaints, compliments, and FOI requests.
