Overview

Are you a calm, solutions‑focused professional who thrives on making things safer, smarter and simpler? Do you enjoy being the steady, trusted advisor who keeps complex operations running smoothly? If so, this could be your next step.

At The Celtic Collection, home to world‑class hotels, iconic venues and the award‑winning ICC Wales, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager who can bring clarity, consistency and a genuinely people‑centred approach to safety across our portfolio.

Why Join Us?

This is your chance to play a visible and influential role across one of the UK’s most diverse hospitality and events environments. You’ll partner with leaders across hotels, restaurants, event spaces and large‑scale public venues, helping teams deliver unforgettable guest experiences safely and confidently.

You’ll enjoy real ownership, clear boundaries, the support of an experienced Head of Health, Safety & Compliance, and the freedom to drive practical improvements that truly make a difference. If you like seeing the direct impact of your work every day, you’ll fit right in here.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Health & Safety Manager, you’ll lead the operational delivery of health, safety and fire safety standards across all sites. Your work will keep our people safe, protect our guests, support our managers, and ensure our compliance remains robust, reliable and forward‑thinking.

* Governance, Systems & Assurance
o Run and continuously improve our H&S management system
o Monitor audits, actions and compliance through our dedicated software
o Ensure documentation, records and due diligence are accurate and up‑to‑date
o Present clear, credible assurance to stakeholders
* Operational & Fire Safety Management
o Conduct inspections, checks and reviews across multiple properties
o Ensure timely completion of remedial actions
o Maintain safe systems of work across plant, equipment, fire safety, water hygiene and more
* Incident & Case Management
o Investigate significant incidents, near misses and complaints
o Produce root cause analysis and targeted improvement plans
o Support reporting requirements and regulatory notifications
* Culture, Training & Engagement
o Promote a positive, proactive safety culture
o Support the design and delivery of safety training
o Lead drills, exercises and scenario‑based learning
* Contractor & Supplier Control
o Review RAMS, manage permits to work and ensure safe site operations
* Event & Emergency Preparedness
o Help plan and oversee safety for major events at ICC Wales and across The Collection
o Maintain clear, current and effective emergency procedures

You’ll be highly visible, trusted and hands‑on, the kind of person teams naturally turn to for guidance.

What We’re Looking For

* Essential
o A Level 3 qualification in Health & Safety (and willingness to progress to Level 5 if not already held)
o Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation, fire safety and related compliance areas
o Experience conducting audits, investigations and safety inspections
o Excellent communication, reporting and organisational skills
o A calm, pragmatic approach without standing attention to detail
* Desirable
o Experience in hospitality or multi‑site environments
o Ability to train, coach and influence at all levels
o Membership of a recognised professional body
o Food Safety knowledge (L3)

If you’re proactive, pragmatic and motivated by helping others succeed safely, we’d love to meet you.

Where You’ll Be Based

This is a multi‑site role across The Celtic Collection and ICC Wales. You will spend a minimum of two days per week onsite at ICC Wales, with flexibility to visit other properties as needed. Some evening and weekend work is required to support events, drills and emergency readiness.

Your Benefits

When you join The Celtic Collection, you don’t just start a job, you join a community. As one of our valued Hospitality Heroes, you’ll enjoy a fantastic suite of benefits, including:

* Access to career development training from day one
* Discounts on food, beverage and hotel stays
* Discounted leisure membership
* Free virtual GP appointments
* 24/7 wellbeing helpline
* NEST pension scheme
* Social Club activities and perks
* Staff appreciation events
* Monthly and end‑of‑year awards

We believe in recognising great work, investing in your future and supporting your wellbeing, every single day.

* I’m clear on our ambition and excited that I can contribute to it, every single day.
