Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Contract Type: Full-Time (Term-time only)
Salary: £105 - £120 per day

Veritas are working with an Alternative Provision for students who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. You'll be working with students aged 11-16 who suffer with behaviour issues and at risk of being excluded.
The role:
Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, as directed by the teacher, to help them achieve their learning goals.
Collaborate with other LSAs and teachers to share best practices and strategies for supporting student learning.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress, interventions, and strategies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Job Requirements:
Experience working as a learning support assistant within a SEN secondary school.
Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
Experience with English, PSHE and Humanities subjects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A calm, patient, and resilient personality.
A genuine passion to support children from challenged background with behavioural problems.
