Everest Recruitment and Services is working in partnership with HSC Northern Ireland to source Locum ST3+ Doctors for Emergency Medicine vacancies across multiple hospital sites in Northern Ireland.
These are shift-based locum positions engaged on an ad hoc and ongoing basis, subject to client demand and rota requirements.
Sites Include:
* Antrim Area Hospital, Antrim
* Causeway Hospital, Coleraine
* Lagan Valley Hospital, Lisburn
* Ulster Hospital, Belfast
Pay & Engagement
* £46.00 per hour
* Engaged inside IR35
* Payment via PAYE or approved Umbrella Company
* Timesheets processed weekly
The Role Working within busy Emergency Departments at HSC Northern Ireland hospital sites, you will be responsible for the assessment, investigation and management of acutely unwell patients across all age groups. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, managing a caseload of undifferentiated emergency presentations, making clinical decisions with an appropriate level of autonomy, and supervising junior colleagues where required.
Essential Requirements
* Full GMC registration — active and in good standing at time of appointment
* MB BCh or equivalent primary medical qualification
* Completion of Foundation training and Core training or equivalent
* Minimum ST3 level or above in Emergency Medicine or equivalent experience
* Demonstrable experience managing undifferentiated emergency presentations independently
* Previous NHS or HSC Emergency Department experience
* FRCEM Intermediate or above (or equivalent — desirable but not essential)
* ALS certification — current and in date
* Enhanced AccessNI certificate (or willingness to apply — we can facilitate)
* Valid medical indemnity insurance (MDU, MPS, MDDUS or equivalent)
* Two professional references covering the last 3 years
* Proof of Right to Work in the United Kingdom
* Occupational health clearance including Hepatitis B, HIV and TB documentation
Desirable
* FRCEM Membership or Fellowship
* Paediatric Emergency experience
* Trauma experience
* Previous locum or out-of-hours experience in an NHS/HSC ED
