The Role
As the Supply Planning Manager, you will:
* Lead and develop the pork supply planning team, overseeing raw material supply through to finished goods.
* Ensure timely and effective supply plans across multiple sites, including GB sliced cooked meats and bacon facilities.
* Collaborate with site managers to understand and address capacity challenges, ensuring optimal production efficiency.
* Work closely with the carcass balance team to align supply with demand, maximising meat availability and grade utilisation.
* Conduct a comprehensive review of current planning systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing more efficient processes.
* Partner with site schedulers to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve line yields, and optimise residual and trim generation.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance and material quality.
* Support cross-functional collaboration as part of the NIRF process to evaluate new business opportunities.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience in production planning management within an FMCG environment.
* Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas and basic programming skills.
* A track record of driving continuous improvement and optimising planning systems and processes.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across multiple sites.
* The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
