The Government Property Agency is changing the way the Civil Service works and is at the forefront of Government's transformation agenda; reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work. The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save � Bn over 10 years.

Job description
GPA Security is responsible for the security assurance of both the buildings across the estate and also the supply chain. They work closely with the Service Delivery team to create a seamless service and also with our clients and customers, to ensure their safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a team of 4 regionally based Physical Security Leads, providing leadership, direction, focus and governance.
2. Support the GPA Head of Operational Security in Policy design and process development, implementation and management across the client group
3. Provision of on-site advice regarding physical security matters including incident management investigation.
4. Work with clients to develop their understanding of their own roles and responsibilities in relation to physical security.
5. Attend internal, customer and supplier Security meetings and forums as required
6. Carry out Physical Security Assessments/Inspections and� Security Health Checks across the GPA Estate and provide practical advice to clients and occupiers regarding all vulnerabilities identified as part of the review process are documented and effective corrective action taken to mitigate or repair the security vulnerability. This may include threat detection activities and surveillance as business needs demand.

Demonstrable experience working with Physical Security Principles and/or Access Control/Intrusion Detection.
Demonstrable experience in conducting assessments of existing facilities and applying Physical Security Principles to practical applications experienced at the site.
Proven management and leadership qualities.
