A leading UK law firm is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Solicitor or Associate (2–5 years PQE) to join its highly regarded Commercial Disputes & Claims team, specialising in liability claims defence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a top-ranked team handling a diverse and challenging caseload across multiple sectors.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of defender personal injury claims, including motor, employer’s liability, public liability, industrial disease, clinical negligence, and fatal accident cases. You will also support senior colleagues on complex, high-value litigation. The work spans both contentious and non-contentious matters, including defending claims in the Sheriff Courts and Court of Session.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality, tailored legal advice to clients.
* Handle a varied caseload of liability defence claims.
* Assist on complex, multi-million-pound litigation.
* Engage in written and oral advocacy.
* Contribute to business development initiatives.
* Maintain strong client relationships and uphold service standards.
About You
* 2–5 years PQE with demonstrable experience in liability claims defence.
* Strong case management and drafting skills.
* Confident communicator with a client-focused approach.
