Morgan Hunt are working closely with a college in Trafford who are looking for learning support assistants to join their support team. The role will be supporting students aged 16 who have a range of additional needs who require support to access their course. Students have varying needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and physical difficulties. The Role In this position, you will: - Provide 1:1 and small-group support - Use effective behaviour management and de-escalation strategies to maintain a calm and safe learning environment - Encourage positive engagement in learning and structured daily routines - Build trusting relationships that help pupils regulate emotions and develop resilience - Work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored, meaningful learning activities - Promote emotional wellbeing, confidence and positive behaviour About You We're looking for someone who: - Is confident managing challenging behaviours in a professional, measured way - Remains calm, patient and consistent during heightened situations - Has experience in SEN environments or brings transferable skills from youth work, care, sports coaching, mentoring or alternative provision - Is resilient, reliable and genuinely motivated to help young people progress Contract Details · Temporary - Long Term · Full & Part time hours available · Monday - Friday 9am - 4pm · Pay - £14 (depending on experience) · Start Date - ASAP For more information about the role, or to apply please get in touch!
