About The Role
The Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) plays an important role in helping people receive necessary care. You will transport elderly, sick, and vulnerable patients to medical appointments and between healthcare facilities, showing compassion and care. We will support you through training and ongoing guidance to ensure you are confident and prepared.
This role involves providing excellent care, ensuring safety, and supporting patient welfare. You will receive all necessary training to handle any situation professionally.
Some Of The Key Responsibilities Will Include
* Driving patients with varying health and mobility needs to and from hospital/clinic appointments
* Assisting, moving, and handling patients, including those who are ambulatory or wheelchair-bound, using appropriate equipment
* Ensuring safety and providing reassurance, comfort, and support
* Assisting patients entering and leaving their homes
* Maintaining vehicle and equipment cleanliness
* Liaising with the central control team for timely pick-up and drop-off
* Undertaking patient and vehicle risk assessments, and completing reports or documentation
About You
You must hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence. You should be effective and resilient under pressure, work well as part of a team, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a sympathetic, respectful, and caring attitude towards patients, with flexibility and adaptability to meet their needs.
