Overview of Role
We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Assistant to join our Operations Control Centre (OCC) team based in our Glasgow Airport Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
* In conjunction with the Operations Control Centre (OCC), you will be responsible for assisting the daily operation and forward ad hoc operations.
* Ensuring all flights plans are active for the days operation, delaying, cancelling & refiling where necessary.
* Responsible for monitoring all NOTAMs.
* Responsible for ensuring all movement messages, ETA’s / ETD’s are updated in the company’s flight watch system.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable business and industry specific regulations, and legislative requirements, as prescribed in the OCC and Flight Operations Manuals.
* Proactively monitor and analyse all available information to pre-empt and minimize or avoid operational disruptions.
* Ensuring station contacts are up to date for third party service providers.
* Advising internal stakeholders of significant events affecting the operation as directed by the OCC Controller.
* Assist the daily Crewing function where required and as directed by the Crew Controller on duty.
* Other duties as directed by the OCC Manager/OCC Controller on duty.
Skills and Knowledge
* The ability to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to more senior managers.
* Written and oral communication skills are necessary to initiate and respond to correspondence, and to deal with other forms of communication.
* The ability to work accurately with detailed information and to ensure that practical tasks are effectively implemented.
* E-literate and competent in developing, administering and using PC and associated networks and systems to acquire, manipulate and disseminate information. Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Predominantly Excel & Word)

Training and Experience
* Relevant previous experience in a similar role, although not essential, would be advantageous.
* Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and numerical skills.
