Technical Sales Representative
A leading provider of flow-control solutions for fluids and gases is seeking to expand its team. The company supplies a wide range of valves, tubes, and fittings across the UK through an established off-the-shelf product division. The successful candidate will join this growing team and contribute to nationwide customer support.
Key Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites across the UK 2–3 days per week

Manage customer requests and handle detailed technical enquiries
*
Negotiate and communicate effectively with clients
*
Maintain strong knowledge of product specifications and compliance standards
*
Understand complementary products and assess cost-benefit opportunities for potential range expansion
*
Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
*
Report and resolve any non-conformances with the quality team
*
Stay informed on current product lines and stock availability
*
Analyse supplier and customer performance data
*
Track market trends and competitor activity
*
Forecast quarterly sales and profit using analytics
*
Support annual sales and profit planning
*
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
*
Organise and manage own workload effectively
Essential Skills & Experience
*
Minimum 5 years’ sales experience within a similar technical product field (e.g., valves, tubes, fittings)
*
Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required
*
Customer-focused, proactive, and committed to high standards
*
Flexible approach to working hours based on business needs
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, telephone, and email skills
*
Positive attitude with ambition and drive to succeed

Solid understanding of related product suppliers
Desirable Skills
