Multi Skilled Engineer

We’re looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to support a brand-new five‑year government contract, with the potential to extend for a further five years. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and energetic team from day one — shaping the service, making your mark, and growing your expertise as the contract develops.
Core hours for this role are 07:00–22:00, depending on business needs. Shift pattern: 2 weeks of 06:00–14:00, followed by 2 weeks of 14:00–22:00.
Role Responsibilities
* Emergency Lighting: Inspection, testing, and maintenance to ensure safety compliance.
* Water Hygiene: Carry out temperature monitoring, flushing, and sampling in line with regulatory standards.
* HVAC Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
* BMS (Building Management Systems): Monitor and adjust building controls for optimal performance.
* Plumbing: Perform repairs and maintenance on plumbing systems and fixtures.
* General Fabric Works: Undertake minor building fabric repairs to maintain site standards.
Required Qualifications
* Relevant trade qualifications (electrical, plumbing, or mechanical).
* Strong knowledge of compliance requirements for emergency lighting and water hygiene.
* Familiarity with HVAC systems and BMS controls.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* Full UK driving licence (preferred).
* Eligibility for security clearance for government sites.

Additional Working Conditions
* Shift work may be required (days/nights or rotating shifts).
* Participation in an on‑call rota (1 in 3) — on‑call allowance £170 per week.
* Overtime available: minimum 4 hours paid per call‑out, paid at:
o 1.5x Monday–Saturday midday
o 2x Saturday afternoon and Sunday
