My client is a successful and growing organisation seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function and support strategic decision making. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys both operational ownership and business partnering.
The role
1. Oversee the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
2. Lead month-end and year-end processes, including journals, reconciliations, variance analysis and management reporting.
3. Produce monthly management accounts and insightful commentary for senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
4. Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital and banking relationships to support the organisation's growth plans.
5. Prepare budgets and reforecasts in collaboration with budget holders, challenging assumptions and driving financial performance.
6. Maintain and strengthen financial controls, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulation and best practice.
7. Support the preparation of statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors and other advisors as required.
