Role
To create high‑quality, on‑brand visual, motion and digital design that strengthens Transport for Wales' brand identity and supports effective communication, campaign delivery and customer engagement during a period of increased brand and campaign activity.
Role Responsibilities
* Respond to creative briefs by developing impactful design solutions that meet brand, campaign and communication objectives.
* Design and deliver high‑quality creative assets across print, digital, social, animation and motion, ensuring consistency with TfW brand guidelines.
* Plan, storyboard and produce motion and video content, from initial concept through to final delivery, working with internal teams and external suppliers where required.
* Develop, maintain and evolve brand artwork, master templates and design toolkits to support consistent application across the organisation.
* Support brand guardianship by providing advice, guidance and constructive challenge to ensure accurate and effective use of TfW's visual identity.
* Manage and maintain the brand hub and digital asset management system, ensuring assets remain current, accessible and well‑governed.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, partners and suppliers to deliver projects on time, to brief and within agreed budgets.
Support the ongoing development of TfW's brand by contributing insight, ideas and creative thinking to campaigns and initiatives.
Who We're Looking For
* Degree, qualification or equivalent professional experience in graphic design or a related discipline.
* Expert proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.
* Demonstrable portfolio showcasing graphic, illustration and motion design work.
* Experience responding creatively and effectively to briefs across multiple channels.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
* Ability to onboard quickly and work effectively within established brand guidelines and processes.
* Experience working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Welsh Language Skills
While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application. TfW supports anyone who wants to learn Welsh or improve their skills. We offer online learning, classroom courses and funding for attendance at local community courses.
