About the role:
Join Ceres' vibrant Sales team, working 4 days per week as the South Island Territory Manager. You will play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with customers within Foodstuffs South Island and Independent stores, as well as increasing the distribution of Ceres Organics' current products and NPD. It's an exciting time to join the Ceres team as we continue to grow in both the NZ and AU markets.
Responsibilities include:
1. Maintain call cycle as per territory plan. Build on customer relationships at every call through defined commercial objectives.
2. Manage the Sales Merchandiser Team fully.
3. Spend time in stores to support and coach in all elements of the Sales Merchandiser role.
4. Identify and investigate new business opportunities. Mine the base of existing customers.
5. Ensure self and team achieve KPIs, including Input (Territory Management) and Output (Sales to budget).
Skills and experience:
1. At least 2-3 years in a similar sales role.
2. An understanding of the retail FMCG and/or Health Food industry and its challenges.
3. Strong negotiation, commercial, and planning skills.
4. Ability to create rapport quickly; a people person.
5. Must have the ability to work in New Zealand and hold a current full NZ Driver's license.
