CNC Machinist Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our precision engineering environment.
About the Role:
* This is a permanent opportunity for a CNC Machinist with strong milling experience.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting tools, and editing CNC programs.
* You will operate 4- and 5-axis machining centres using Heidenhain, Siemens, and Fanuc controls.
* Machining high-value components in materials including aluminium, titanium, and carbon fibre is also a key aspect of this role.
* You will support process development, tooling improvements, and fixture design.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications is essential.
* You will collaborate with engineering to improve manufacturing procedures.
* Prioritising workload to meet production schedules is also crucial.
* Mentoring others, including apprentices, may be required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in CNC milling is essential; turning experience is advantageous.
* Ability to program and operate using Fanuc, Siemens, and Heidenhain is required.
* Familiarity with CAD/CAM and multi-axis machining (3-5 axis) is necessary.
* Competence in inspection techniques and workshop practices is expected.
* Strong communication, computer, and problem-solving skills are required.
* Knowledge of H&S, CoSHH, lifting techniques, and 6S standards is expected.
* Able to work independently from concept to final product.
