SCUK Senior Data Quality & Controls AnalystCountry: United Kingdom
Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our CDO Office as a Senior Data Quality & Controls Analyst. This Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with teams across the business to implement best practices for data quality management and control. You will need to have expertise in SAS to develop and maintain a flexible Data Quality and Integrity solution that can be used to automate and support controls across our systems.
Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Working independently, design and develop the SAS framework from scratch
2. Design and implement data quality and integrity controls, aligned to the Santander data management policies
3. Maintain, monitor and support existing SAS data quality and integrity controls
4. Designing and implementing appropriate controls within SCUK to ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulatory and internal policy requirements
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that data integrity controls are properly designed, tested, and implemented
6. Partner with the business to influence and enhance the value of Data Quality across the company
7. Ensure monthly data quality reporting is completed
8. Contributing to the creation of a data quality strategy, aligned to Santander UK’s data policies and strategy and appropriate to the needs of the SCUK organisation. Establishing and maintaining data quality metrics and standards to assess and report on data quality and controls effectiveness
9. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, including Risk Data Aggregation requirements under Basel regulation BCBS
10. Take a leading role in fulfilling ad hoc requests and projects related to data quality and integrity controls
11. Assist in the maintenance, implementation and annual review of relevant models, policies, and procedures
12. Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework
13. Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection
What we’re looking for:
14. Practical experience in a similar role with demonstrable experience of working independently to create/develop, implement, manage and monitor data quality and integrity controls adapted to the organisation served
15. Excellent emotional intelligence, influencing and collaboration skills
16. Excellent written and verbal communications skills
17. Proven experience and ability in dealing with staff at all levels of a similar sized organisation or larger
18. Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively
19. Ability to quickly gain a good understanding of new business areas and systems
20. Be able to work alone as well as integrate into an established team
21. Demonstrated initiative and commitment for results and the ability to set priorities and manage multiple initiatives
22. Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively
23. A Certified Data Management Professional (CMDP) qualification is desirable
