Our superb client, with offices based in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced and qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) Accounts Manager to join them on a full time permanent basis working 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday. This will be office based for the first couple of months then hybrid working will be available (3 days in the office / 2 days from home).
Responsibilities
 * Prepare and finalise year-end accounts for a wide range of businesses from SMEs, sole traders, LLPs, etc.
 * Prepare director self assessment tax returns along with computation of corporation tax returns.
 * Deal with telephone based and email client queries and meet with clients face-to-face.
 * Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients and provide professional advice on accounting systems and compliance to make tax efficient.
 * Work closely with bookkeepers and support them during busy periods.
 * Identify new business opportunities to further support clients and assist with business process improvements.
Qualifications
 * Accountancy practice experience is essential.
 * Qualified in ACCA / ACA or equivalent.
 * superb communication skills both written and verbal, excellent attention to detail, and able to work as part of a team and also independently.
