The Role: Quality Assurance Technician

This role is based within our head office in Runcorn and has the following main responsibilities:-
* Releasing product from the production line, including organoleptic assessment of finished product and compare against gold standards
* Out quality control checks (e.g. CCP, label verification, weights, shift documentation) to ensure compliance.
* Out internal audits as per schedule (e.g. glass, GMP, traceability, QMS)
* Environmental monitoring and product sampling and ensure results are reported accurately
* Investigations for customer complaints and internal non-conformances
* Non-conformances for shift based issues and where necessary place product on hold
* Shift based reports to ensure information is handed over to teammates accurately
The successful candidate needs to have a good understanding of food manufacturing and hygiene regulations

* Food proven experience in QA / QC
* Organised and excellent verbal and written skills
* Literate with the ability to work with various Microsoft programs

* Ability to prioritise, meet deadline and manage changing priorities
* Ability to be a flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
Desirables
* Understanding of / experience in FMCG Food and/or Sports Nutrition
* Working in an E-Commerce vertically integrated business/or Food Manufacturing
* Auditor training
* Excel knowledge
