About the role
We are looking for a tech policy and public affairs specialist to join our London office as an Account Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work on policy across the internet, cyber and telecoms space, across a variety of projects and clients. You will work in a supportive, hybrid environment with a team of dedicated comms and marketing professionals and have the chance to develop your career while driving growth and reputations for clients.
If you have experience in agency, in-house, think tanks, government, or parliament and want to join an organisation that tackles dynamic sectors and high-impact campaigns, we want to hear from you.
The role suits a proactive, politically-savvy policy professional who can build relationships across industry, government and parliament, engage with government consultations and strategies, and devise client strategies using strong research and communications skills. Tech focus includes telecoms, internet and cybersecurity, with opportunities to broaden into PR, crisis communications, and corporate comms.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement policy and public affairs strategies across telecoms, internet and cybersecurity issues.
* Engage with industry, government and parliamentary stakeholders; lead engagement campaigns and working group meetings with senior representatives.
* Conduct thorough policy research, monitoring, and analysis to inform client strategies.
* Draft consultation responses, press statements, and related communications.
* Identify policy opportunities for new business and contribute to agency growth.
* Collaborate across PR, crisis communications and corporate communications teams as needed.
Qualifications and skills
* Strong analytical mindset with excellent research and writing abilities.
* Thorough understanding of how policy is made—from parliamentary questions and debates to committee sessions, Bills, consultations and regulatory strategies.
* Experience using the policy-making process to drive change; ability to lead meetings with senior industry representatives.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to spot opportunities for new business.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment.
* Proficiency with monitoring and research tools, including AI, for analysis and action.
* Existing network in political, government or industry circles is beneficial but not essential.
* Willingness to adopt and learn AI tools to maximise daily efficiency.
