Finance Consulting works with clients to address mission‑critical issues for the Chief Financial Officer, creating value and delivering world‑class future finance capabilities, leveraging the EY brand as impartial, trusted advisors.
Working in multi‑disciplinary teams for some of the biggest and most recognised corporate brands in the world, you will apply the latest technologies and analytical methods to help drive business performance and digital finance transformation agendas that make a real difference.
In Finance Strategy and Transformation you will support companies in establishing or maturing their shared services / global business services capability, guiding them through the transformation journey with diagnostics, vision, operating model, business case, roadmap, sourcing, processes, technology, organisation design and programme management.
Your Key Responsibilities
Build relationships at senior levels within client organisations, working with them to understand their most critical business problems and priorities, consulting with EY peers to evaluate, design, and deliver solution options that leverage cutting‑edge technologies.
Motivate and manage high‑performing diverse teams, aligned to EY’s values, delivering exceptional client service and preparing clients for a digital future.
Identify further revenue growth opportunities for EY.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Strong knowledge of how Finance and GBS organisations operate, with experience in implementing and transforming these organisations or having senior operational experience in an Finance/GBS role with exposure to project management.
Excellent communicator, team player, relationship builder, and eager to learn.
Professional and organised, capable of coordinating workload and that of other team members, meeting deadlines, proactively managing risks, and delivering quality outcomes.

Deliver measurable value to clients by addressing their biggest problems and priorities, requiring:
* Help clients understand current and emerging Finance and/or GBS trends
* Lead programme or multiple workstreams, taking day‑to‑day responsibility for delivery
* Lead current‑state diagnostics and target operating model work, including facilitating workshops with senior client stakeholders
* Develop Finance and/or GBS implementation roadmaps, assisting clients with transition strategy
* Lead design and implementation of new processes and organisational structures, identifying technology opportunities
Helpful technology experience: Service Management Tools, GenAI and Agentic AI, Accounting Automation, Consolidation and Reporting, and the ability to apply enterprise data concepts.
To qualify for the role you must have
* A valid and certified professional accounting qualification
* Either:
o A background in management consulting
o Delivered components of large‑scale transformation programmes in industry
* Experience in business development and solution design for complex multi‑national businesses
* Expert proficiency in your chosen market or sector
* Experience delivering change programmes within a Finance function and GBS organisation
* Strong client relationships and a proven track record of originating and selling new projects
* Proven ability to engage, manage and build senior relationships
Ideally, you’ll also have
* Ability to create solutions to technical problems
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to storyboard and create high‑quality outputs
* Excellent problem‑solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
* Track record of line‑managing professional services staff, including coaching and developing staff
