An exciting opportunity has arisen to join theCareer Development Centre (CDC)as a Tutor, supporting individuals to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further learning.
This role is ideal for a passionate and motivated individual who is committed to improving life chances and supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, coaching, and support across a range of programmes, including employability, vocational pathways, and apprenticeship standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver, and assess engaging learning sessions tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
2. Support learners to develop both vocational knowledge and employability skills, including communication, teamwork, and confidence.
3. Deliver and embed knowledge linked toapprenticeships, includingmanagement and project management standards.
4. Monitor learner progress, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies to support achievement and retention.
5. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and outcomes in line with organisational and funding requirements.
6. Provide one-to-one support, coaching, and mentoring to learners, identifying barriers and implementing appropriate interventions.
7. Work collaboratively with internal teams, employers, and external stakeholders to support positive learner outcomes.
8. Embed health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, and British values within all aspects of delivery.
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of programmes through feedback, quality assurance processes, and innovation in delivery.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
10. Experience delivering teaching, training, or coaching within education, employability, or skills-based settings.
11. Strong understanding ofapprenticeship standards, particularly withinmanagement and project management.
12. Knowledge of learner support strategies and ability to engage individuals with varying levels of confidence and experience.
13. Experience of planning sessions and assessing learner progress against agreed outcomes.
14. Awareness of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity in an educational setting.
Desirable:
15. Level 4 qualification in Housing Deliveryor a related field.
16. Experience working on government-funded programmes or employability initiatives.
17. Knowledge of quality assurance processes and compliance requirements within education or training provision.
