Overview
Security Officer - Birmingham
Mon - Fri, 9-5, 40 hours per week. Pay rate £12.60.
Responsibilities
* Be pro-active with your approach to ensure expected standards of the Combined Authority bus stations and their staff are met.
* Provide a smart, visible, proactive, and engaging security presence and deterrent.
* Effective conflict management, always taking control of incidents.
* Control access and egress, conducting security patrols to deter crime.
* Able to proactively and professionally engage with the public.
* Be aware of hazards and incidents, and respond appropriately.
* Provide guidance, information and direct customers as a first point of contact.
* Manage and follow safety and security processes and procedures.
* Work as part of a team, building strong working relationships.
* Monday - Friday (excluding bank holidays); 08:00-16:00, 40 hours per week.
Person Specification
* Always have an enthusiastic demeanour.
* Pro-active attitude to solve problems before they’re raised.
* Able to work with partner service providers to present a unified team.
* Exceptional customer service skills; helpful, courteous, confident interactions with visitors.
* Good communication skills; clear and logical communication in person with clients and staff.
* Commitment to safe working practices and adherence to company policy and procedures.
* Personal presentation to a high standard.
* SIA Guarding or Door Supervision licence holders.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in security is beneficial; if you’ve recently obtained your SIA licence, training and support will be provided. A desire to learn and grow is valued.
