Practice Supervisor (Kinship Fostering Team)

The role is based in County Hall, Matlock, and oversees a county-wide team of Kinship Fostering social workers who conduct Kinship care assessments. The successful candidate will provide practical case supervision (both group and one‑to‑one) and support the manager in efficient service delivery.
Key responsibilities:
* Offer practical case supervision (group and 1:1) to social workers.
* Assist the manager in the efficient and effective delivery of the service.
* Monitor best practice in line with current research, legislation, statutory guidance, standards and policy.
* Contribute to monthly performance meetings to monitor and improve practice and outcomes for Derbyshire children.
* Develop, deliver and evaluate training for fostering social work practice across the county.
* Support kinship carers and create safe, stable homes for children.
Qualifications and requirements:
* Hold a Social Work qualification.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider management team.
* Commitment to working in partnership with carers, implementing therapeutic parenting principles.
* Experience in family or child protection service preferred.
