Recycling Centre Attendant

Requirements:
* Valid Right to Work in the UK documentation.
* PVG Check required
* Experience in an industrial setting
* Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Ensure safety and welfare of all staff, contractors, and site users.
* Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and permit requirements.
* Prevent acceptance of non-permitted or business waste.
Customer Service
* Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
* Offer manual help unloading vehicles and directing materials to correct bins.
* Educate users on recycling processes and materials handling.
Site Maintenance & Cleanliness
* Keep the site clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
* Maintain a positive public image of the Recycling Centre.
Administration & Record Keeping
* Maintain accurate daily records: site diary, inspection checklists, waste transfer notes, etc.
Equipment Operation & Security
* Operate and maintain compaction equipment and vehicle weighing systems.
* Conduct routine checks and basic servicing.
* Be responsible for site security as a key holder.
Teamwork & Communication
* Work collaboratively to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
* Build positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
