About the Role
On behalf of a growing and purpose led software technology organisation, Pertemps is recruiting an Account Manager to join a dynamic commercial team based in Bristol.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to play a key role in developing, retaining, and growing a loyal customer base across the UK, Ireland, and international markets. The role focuses on building strong relationships with schools and education partners, supporting renewals and account growth, and ensuring customers gain maximum value from the organisation’s products and services.
The successful candidate will be commercially minded, highly organised, and passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience. They will work closely with the wider sales and operations teams to support sales campaigns, manage product trials, and contribute to continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a portfolio of school and education-sector customer accounts, with a focus on renewals, retention, and account expansion.
* Process customer orders, proposals, and invoice requests accurately and efficiently.
* Respond to customer queries within agreed service levels, ensuring a consistently high standard of customer care.
* Support inbound school orders while also carrying out outbound engagement with existing customers to drive retention and increased usage.
* Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts through regular, value-led communication.
* Deliver online product demonstrations, review meetings, and training sessions for new and existing customers.
* Support sales campaigns through trial management, cross-selling initiatives, and sales administration.
* Attend industry events and conferences as required, representing the organisation and its products professionally.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM and associated sales and invoicing systems.
* Provide regular reporting and insights to the Sales Manager on account performance, activity, and opportunities.
* Maintain a strong understanding of the organisation’s products, services, and values.
Experience Required
Essential:
* Proven experience in an Account Manager, Relationship Manager, or similar client-facing commercial role.
* Demonstrable success in account growth, renewals, upselling, and cross-selling.
* Experience supporting customers post-sale to drive engagement and retention.
* Confidence managing multiple accounts with varying priorities.
* Strong CRM and data literacy; experience using CRM and email platforms (HubSpot experience advantageous).
* Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, or support teams.
