About Us
We are a leading provider of Leadership and Management apprenticeship programmes (Levels 3 to 7) and commercial training. Our success is built on delivering exceptional learning experiences through open cohorts (mixed-company groups) and closed cohorts (bespoke programmes for individual organisations) using a variety of delivery models including face-to-face workshops, virtual sessions, one-to-one coaching, and progress reviews.
The Role
We're seeking an exceptional Resource Planning and Scheduling Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will lead our planning and support function, ensuring all learning delivery is co-ordinated efficiently while maintaining compliance with apprenticeship funding requirements. You'll work closely with delivery staff and management to uphold high standards of organisation and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Scheduling: Plan and co-ordinate all delivery sessions across the company using scheduling software and our bespoke LMS
* Cohort Planning: Design detailed delivery plans for both open and closed cohorts, adapting approaches to meet different requirements
* Apprenticeship Compliance: Ensure all mandatory elements are incorporated and DfE requirements are met
* Resource Allocation: Optimise staff utilisation by smartly assigning the right delivery personnel to each session
* Cost Efficiency: Make scheduling decisions that minimise travel, accommodation costs and maximise resource effectiveness
* Logistics Co-ordination: Oversee the preparation and distribution of training materials and resources
* Schedule Management: Proactively manage changes while maintaining programme integrity
* Team Leadership: Lead the planning and resourcing function, supervising junior staff and driving process improvements

* Smoothly run training programmes with satisfied learners and clients
* Noticeable cost savings through intelligent scheduling decisions
* Clean, consistent data enabling reliable reporting and analysis
* High satisfaction levels among delivery team members and stakeholders
* Significant experience in scheduling, logistics co-ordination, or programme planning
* Exceptional organisational ability and attention to detail
* Strategic thinking with ability to optimise resource deployment
* Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Excel
* Strong problem-solving skills and calm decision-making under pressure
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commercial awareness and budget-conscious approach
* Results-driven with a focus on operational excellence
* Experience in education, training, or apprenticeships sector
* Knowledge of DfE (previously ESFA) funding rules and compliance requirements
* Previous leadership experience
* Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Logistics, or Operations Management
* Process improvement experience
* Flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours if needed
