Role Description
The Senior Electrician/Operations Lead role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bexhill. This role involves leading and delivering domestic and small commercial electrical works, including rewires, EICRs, consumer unit changes, fault finding, and new-build installations. The Senior Electrician/Operations Lead will plan and allocate daily tasks, oversee site activities, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. Responsibilities include liaising with builders, developers, and site managers, ordering materials, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate job documentation and certification. The role also includes mentoring junior team members, upholding company standards on cleanliness and customer service, and identifying opportunities to improve workflows and efficiency.
Qualifications
* Current, fully qualified electrician with recognised UK electrical qualifications (e.g., Level 3 NVQ or equivalent), 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, and a strong track record in domestic and small commercial installations.
* Proven experience delivering rewires, EICRs, consumer unit upgrades, fault finding, and new-build installs with minimal supervision and a focus on quality and safety.
* Demonstrated ability to lead operations on-site, including job planning, task allocation, time management, and coordination across multiple projects.
* Strong communication and client-facing skills, able to work effectively with builders, developers, and site managers and represent the company professionally at all times.
* Sound understanding of health and safety practices, risk assessments, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
* Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for digital job sheets, certificates, and basic documentation; familiarity with electrical testing equipment and reporting.
* Full UK driving license and ability to travel between sites in and around Bexhill and East Sussex.
* Experience mentoring or supervising junior electricians or apprentices is highly beneficial; previous experience in an operations, lead electrician role is a plus.
