About the role
We are looking for a candidate that can assist with the delivery of a payroll service to the Council, as well as a number of external customers, to cover a period of maternity leave. This role provides the opportunity to work within a close knit and supportive team, carrying out the day-to-day administration of payroll and ensuring that it is delivered effectively and accurately alongside the Council's Payroll & Systems Officer.
About you
As an Assistant Payroll Officer, you will be required to use our HR and Payroll system, iTrent, to process multiple payrolls and answer queries relating to pay, absences and expenses.
Experience in a payroll environment is essential, however training will be provided for the successful candidate. We are looking for a someone who has an eye for detail, possesses good numerical and IT skills, particularly in using Microsoft Excel, and who enjoys working in team environment.
