The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Transport Supervisor to oversee transport operations across three sites during night shifts. Working on a 4 on 4 off rota, you will be responsible for live planning, real-time driver support, and maintaining service levels overnight. You will manage the night transport coordinator and a team of drivers, ensuring accuracy in system updates, compliance, and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities for a Transport Supervisor
* Live Planning & Resourcing, ensuring full coverage across three sites. Including Responding swiftly to sickness absences, last-minute resource changes, and additional customer work requests to maintain service continuity.
* Lead and support the night transport coordinator and drivers during night operations whilst overseeing shift handovers, job allocations, and driver debriefs.
* Manage annual leave planning, return-to-work interviews, and welfare meetings and Support disciplinary processes and carry out investigations when required.
* Track and monitor vehicle movements using telematics during the night.
* Update and maintain the Transport Management System throughout the shift to ensure accurate and timely job recording whilst ensuring compliance with all transport legislation and internal policies during night operations.
* Respond swiftly to operational issues overnight, making decisions to maintain delivery performance and escalate to day management when necessary.
About You We're looking for someone who brings:
* Confidence with IT Systems including outlook and Excel
* 2 years Minimum Experience in a transport or logistics environment
* Understanding of UK/EU driving hours laws and restrictions
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong Multi-site planning and Coordination skills
* Resilient, calm under pressure, and confident in autonomous decision-making.
