Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Building Standards & Public Safety, and operating effectively in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible, either directly or through line management with a fellow Group Manager, for the daily delivery of our expanding Building Standards service. This role supports the operation of the Council and aims to achieve the required outputs. You will coordinate responses to major events, incidents, and cross-cutting issues.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking someone with a strong sense of customer service, excellent communication and leadership skills, a clear understanding of quality assurance, and an appetite for development and continuous improvement.
You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with proven managerial experience in delivering a quality Building Standards service. The ability to plan, allocate, and organize work to meet service standards and manage complex, competing priorities is essential.
