A well-established manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Team Leader / Maintenance Supervisor to support the engineering function and lead a team of multi-skilled engineers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking to step into leadership, or an existing team leader seeking a fresh challenge within a stable and growing business.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the engineering department, ensuring equipment reliability, team performance, and continuous improvement across site.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical support with people management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading and supporting a team of maintenance engineers on shift
* Ensuring planned and reactive maintenance activities are completed effectively
* Supporting fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems
* Driving continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
* Managing workloads, priorities, and shift handovers
* Supporting health & safety and compliance across engineering
* Assisting with training and development of engineers
About You
We are looking for a strong engineer with leadership capability who can motivate a team while remaining technically involved.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in a maintenance engineering role within manufacturing
* Previous leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to step up)
* Multi-skilled background (electrical or mechanical bias)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
* Good communication and team leadership skills
* A proactive, hands-on approach
