About the role
Balfour Beatty is seeking a Project Trainer to join our Power Transmission and Distribution Team, covering England and Wales.
The Project Trainer will work alongside SMEs and the training team to deliver training programs to Site Engineers nationwide, assessing all project staff trainees to ensure compliance with current legislation and company standards.
This role can be based anywhere within England and Wales, involving regular travel to Power T&D sites. A company car will be provided, and overnight expenses will be covered. When not traveling, the role can be performed remotely.
What you'll be doing
* Assess all project staff trainees for compliance with legislation and standards.
* Work with the training team to evaluate and improve training solutions based on business needs.
* Develop training materials and activities.
* Assess, manage, and deliver project role training and support.
* Train and deliver various training packages, including setting to work and managing subcontractors.
* Create training programs for project activities.
* Deliver training and assess end-point assessment events.
* Travel across the UK to assess and deliver project role training.
* Continuously develop your professional capabilities through ongoing development.
Who we're looking for
Essential:
* Experience in construction, power, or utilities industry at a supervisor or engineer level.
* Ability to lead and manage work teams.
* Hold a UK full driving license and willingness to travel.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable:
* Previous training, knowledge sharing, development, and coaching experience.
* Relevant training and assessment qualifications, CIPD/CPD accreditation.
* Management or supervision qualification.
