Overview
Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12‑18. We specialise in supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions who need intensive inpatient treatment. Our on‑site school is Ofsted registered and our facilities include a high‑intensity suite, occupational therapy kitchen, gym, outdoor sports area (including a basketball court), three therapy cabins, keep‑fit cabin and a multi‑faith cabin. In our recent Ofsted inspection we were rated "good". Teachers work closely with students to provide caring, supportive, recovery‑focused learning experiences.
Responsibilities
* Teach English to students in KS3/4 with the ability to support KS5.
* Work in small groups and one‑to‑one with students.
* Design and implement a programme of study and develop creative, high‑quality learning experiences.
* Support or teach other subjects where required (desirable but not essential).
* Attend a bespoke induction programme and participate in ongoing training and development.
* Work 3 full days per week (22.5 hours), term‑time only, on the main pay scale depending on experience.
Qualifications
* Qualified teacher specialising in English, with a passion for working with young people in a specialist field.
* Strong commitment to high expectations and fostering student achievement.
* Empathic, flexible and able to adapt to individual student needs.
* Success will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
