Rock Court Surgery has an opportunity for a Health CareAssistant. Experience of General Practice is desirable but not essential astraining can be given.
We are looking for up 25 - 30 hours per week, across 4 days (ideallyTuesdays to Fridays)
The post is to support and develop our Practice Nurse team,with particular focus on contributing to chronic disease reviews, healthchecks, blood pressure and pulse monitoring, diet and lifestyle advice, adultimmunisations, B12 injections, and capturing physical health measurements. Therole will also include supporting the whole clinical team to ensure smoothrunning of chronic disease clinics and patient recall systems, plus healthpromotion and campaigns.
Rock Court is a long-established GP training Practice, witha strong ethos of team working and providing a supportive work environment.
Main duties of the job
Particular focus on contributing to chronic disease reviews,health checks, blood pressure and pulse monitoring, foot checks, diet andlifestyle advice to support weight management and healthy living, adultimmunisations, B12 injections, and capturing physical health measurements.
The role will also include supporting the whole clinicalteam to ensure smooth running of chronic disease clinics and patient recallsystems, plus health promotion and campaigns.

Rock Court Surgery has 2 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1ANP, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Nurse Associate, 1 HCA and 7 Reception/Admin teammembers. Our Practice list size is approximately 5600.
The practice is part of the iGPc Primary Care Network whichincludes 7 other Practices. As part of the PCN, we have access to Pharmacists(prescribing and non-prescribing), pharmacy technicians, care co-ordinators,social prescribers, paramedics and First Contact Physiotherapists.

Job responsibilities
Includes:
New patient health checks
Chronic disease recall, physical checks eg pulse, BP,weight, height, BMI, foot checks
Diet and lifestyle advice
Phlebotomy (not essential, training can be arranged)
Chaperoning
Supporting process of results management
Infection control and prevention
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring etc
Supporting health promotion and screening campaigns
