About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced
Programme Manager
to join a leading financial services client on a contract until the end of the year, with potential for rolling extensions. This is a senior delivery role, requiring a proven track record of managing large-scale, complex change portfolios, driving strategic outcomes, and engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of
strategic portfolio outcomes
, ensuring alignment with organisational vision and priorities.
* Own and deliver
strategic planning cycles
across change portfolios, ensuring financial investments align with long-term strategy and business needs.
* Develop
business cases and benefit validation
to support transformation programmes and emerging business opportunities.
* Drive
regular engagement with senior stakeholders
at executive and director level to influence and deliver portfolio strategy.
* Manage portfolio
risks, issues, and dependencies
, keeping senior leadership informed of progress and challenges.
* Deliver portfolio-level
reporting and governance materials
, supporting informed decision-making.
* Oversee
budget management
across large-scale programmes, identifying and delivering savings opportunities where required.
* Ensure programme dependencies are well understood, aligned, and integrated across global initiatives.
* Provide leadership and support within the wider change management function, driving continuous improvement and effective delivery.
Essential Skills & Experience
* 8+ years' experience
in programme or portfolio management, ideally within financial services or technology-driven environments.
* Demonstrated success in leading
large-scale transformation programmes
with budgets of multi-millions.
* Strong knowledge of
portfolio management principles, financial planning, and strategy development

* Proven ability to engage, influence, and communicate effectively with
C-level executives and senior stakeholders

* Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver at pace under pressure.
* Excellent
communication, presentation, and leadership skills

* Commercially astute with experience building
