Job Title: Business Analyst / Product Analyst - VP (Credit, Market Risk, Basel III)
Location: London (2 to 3 days a week on-site)
Contract Length: Until 30 April 2026 (possibility for extension)
Rate: Highly competitive rate available for suitable candidates
Working Pattern: Full Time
Responsibilities
* Translate Requirements: Convert business and regulatory needs into detailed product specifications for advanced risk systems.
* Develop Analytics: Lead the creation of analytics and reporting capabilities for counterparty credit and market risk, including MPE, CVA, VaR, sensitivities, and stress testing.
* Ensure Compliance: Align solutions with ECB regulatory frameworks (CRR, CRD, Basel III/IV, EMIR) and uphold internal risk policies.
* Collaborate: Work closely with stakeholders across risk, modelling, compliance, and technology to gather requirements and validate solutions.
* Contribute to Agile Delivery: Engage in backlog refinement, user story creation, and testing support to enhance project efficiency.
* Prepare Documentation: Assist in the preparation of documentation for ECB supervisory reviews, ICAAP, and SREP processes.
* Experience in agile environments and with risk systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Python, SQL) is essential
* Monitor Trends: Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry trends to inform product enhancements.
Qualifications
* Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
* Experience in risk management, risk technology, or product analysis within a financial institution
* Strong understanding of counterparty credit and market risk concepts and European regulatory frameworks
* Experience in agile environments and with risk systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Python, SQL)
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Prior experience in ECB-supervised institutions is highly desirable
