Teaching Personnel are supporting a welcoming primary school in Oldham in their search for an enthusiastic and reliable Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join their team after Easter. This role will continue through to the end of the academic year, supporting pupils during this crucial SATs preparation period. About the Role This is a general classroom TA position within a Year 6 class. You will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of the curriculum, help pupils stay on track with learning, and provide additional support in the run-up to SATs. Key responsibilities include: Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management Providing targeted support to pupils ahead of KS2 SATs Supporting individuals and small groups with English, Maths, and wider curriculum tasks Helping maintain a positive, engaging, and well-organised learning environment Offering pastoral and academic support to ensure every pupil feels confident and prepared About You The school are looking for a candidate who is: Experienced working with upper KS2 pupils (Year 6 experience desirable) Supportive, patient, and confident working with varying ability levels Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff Organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed Available full-time from after Easter Why Work with Teaching Personnel?
