Let's start with a
TLDR:
We need someone who codes like they are building the Empire State Building except it is interactive and on the web.
What we
think
we want (sort of):
* Someone who can build immersive, interactive websites.
* Someone fluent in both
design
and
development
.
* But honestly, that's what every "creative agency" says.
What we
actually
want:
* Someone who makes websites that make people think they are playing a game.
* Someone who codes butter-smooth scrolling that feels like floating through space.
* Someone who turns boring business requirements into playgrounds people screenshot and share.
* Someone who makes loading screens so beautiful that users hope for slow internet.
You would be a
great fit
if you:
* Your portfolio makes us say, "how did they even do that?"
* You dream in
and wake up optimizing frame rates.
* Sites like bruno-simon(.)com don't intimidate you but they inspire you.
* You think vanilla CSS animations are "cute" but
WebGL
is where the magic happens.
* You have made at least one thing that doesn't exist in any tutorial.
We need someone fluent in both worlds:
Design
: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects (motion), Blender or Cinema4D (3D assets).
Development
: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, / WebGL, (Unity is a bonus.)
If so, you're probably our person.
Thereby, you get some
juicy perks:
* Full creative freedom (seriously, we won't micromanage your bezier curves).
* Unlimited coffee budget (because 60fps requires caffeine).
* Work from wherever inspires you most.
* Access to every design tool, plugin and library you have ever wanted.
* A team that gets excited about your wild ideas instead of shutting them down.
(tell us what else would make you happy and we'll probably say yes)
This is
NOT for you
if:
* You think WordPress themes are "custom development."
* Your idea of animation is a CSS hover effect.
* You need someone to hold your hand through browser compatibility issues.
* You believe "it works on my machine" is an acceptable QA process.
Good to have
add-ons:
* You understand that beauty means nothing if it takes 10 seconds to load.
* You've made something that responds to sound, touch, or device orientation.
We do not want senior developers with decades of "web experience." We want
hungry artists
who happen to speak JavaScript fluently and can turn wild ideas into
digital experiences that break the internet
(in a good way).
Compensation Range
: Negotiable based on your portfolio + experience level.
If your work makes us stop scrolling and stare, the budget won't be the limiting factor.
(Just remember: show us and do not tell us with buzzword-heavy descriptions)
Let us make the web feel alive again.
