Formula 1 IT Systems Manager Job Description

From timekeeping to software development, broadcast engineering, and content creation, we consider ourselves the 11th team in Formula 1.
We are seeking an IT Systems Manager for our IT Systems and Support team, based at the Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill. Do you have what it takes to be part of the world’s greatest sport and entertainment spectacle?
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Lead the IT Systems teams to support operational effectiveness across all sites and organizational units.
2. Manage capacity planning and set expectations for projects, technical requests, and business-as-usual activities within the team and wider organization.
3. Ensure the IT Systems and Services across the IT estate are commissioned, maintained, and developed to meet current and future organizational needs.
4. Collaborate with all business areas to assess technical requirements and ensure operational needs are met.
5. Implement, maintain, and test IT security in line with the IT Security team roadmap.
6. Manage IT projects, monitor progress, highlight issues or delays, and keep stakeholders informed.
7. Review and maintain logged jobs to ensure high service levels, follow up on calls, and see issues through to resolution.
8. Perform root cause analysis on infrastructure issues and manage problem resolution.
9. Manage IT SOX controls, ensuring governance requirements are met and evidence is provided timely.
10. Ensure teams adhere to documented IT processes and compliance guidelines.
11. Work with the Enterprise Architect to drive innovation by reviewing current technology offerings and identifying improvements.

* Significant experience in leading and managing diverse teams with a contrastive leadership style.
* Positive approach to people management.
* Strategic and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate future organizational needs.
* Ability to work under pressure, especially during live race scenarios.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Current UK Driving License.
