The Role
:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting team with various accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
2. Processing payroll for clients, including calculating wages, deductions, and tax contributions.
3. Conducting bookkeeping tasks, such as maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts.
4. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
5. Providing general administrative support to the accounting team as required.
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working in a similar role.
7. At least 2 years of experience working in an accountancy practice.
8. Minimum AAT Level 3 qualification.
9. Strong understanding of VAT, payroll, and bookkeeping processes.
10. Skilled in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
11. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
12. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
13. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
