Salary: GBP51k per annum + Overtime and On:Call Allowances
The Role
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead a dedicated team of technicians to maintain the commercial infrastructure. This is a hands:on leadership role where you will balance technical expertise with team management, ensuring all building services are compliant and resilient.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership: Oversee and coordinate a team of mechanical tradespeople, managing daily workloads and performance.
* Critical Infrastructure: Participate in the Generator Testing program (conducted the last full week of every month, 6:00 AM : 8:00 AM). This is paid as overtime and is followed by your standard daily shift.
* On:Call Rota: Be part of a 1:in:4 emergency on:call rotation to ensure 24/7 site safety.
* Building Services: Manage a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and steam plant within a hospital setting.
What Youll Need to Succeed
* You must be a fully qualified Mechanical Tradesperson (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Proven experience in Building Services and a track record of leading or overseeing a technical team.
* You must be able to pass a Standard DBS check.
* Commitment to early starts for monthly testing and the flexibility required for the on:call rota.
